Two recharging points installed for N1
November 10, 2023
Two charging stations have now been started for the N1, at Reykjanesbær airports and Ártúnshöfði. The charging station at Flugvellir was opened last week and is a 350 kW Kempower station with three charging poles where each pole has two 300A CCS connectors and therefore six cars can charge simultaneously. The charging station will be useful for the local car rental companies, which have increased considerably in the area and the number of electric vehicles in their fleet as well. The charging station will of course also be of use to the public, but N1 is in the process of completing a new service centre on the site.
Yesterday, a 400 kW charging station opened on the N1 at Ártúnshöfði installed by RST Net. There are two charging poles with two 300A CCS ports, allowing four cars to be charged at once. The N1 is offering free charging until November 16, so we are planning to test the new station. You can find the stations in the N1 app.
Both stations are from Kempower and are expandable to 600 kW and can be increased to eight cars at once. The Kempower stations distribute the load between cars, maximizing charging to all cars and minimizing wait times. RST Net was responsible for cable laying and installation of the stations.
Congratulations to N1 on the new charging stations!
