RST Net sees Vaðaldu plant for electrical equipment

Landsvirkja has signed an agreement with RST Net for the design, procurement, production and installation of electrical equipment in a storage facility at the construction site of the planned wind farm at Vaðölda. The contract is worth over ISK 450 million and RST Net's offer was assessed as the most favorable of the four received.
The main work components of the contract include the supply and installation of 33 kV and 11 kV distribution along with station operating transformers. A 400 V main distribution and two DC distributions will also be constructed and installed. RST Net will also be responsible for the supply, programming and installation of control and protection equipment, as well as the monitoring, connections and completion of 33 kV and 11 kV cables. Finally, the contract includes the supply and installation of 220 kV feed-throughs along with various ancillary and supplementary works.
